Last Friday a group of students got a hands-on look at the island’s budding biodiesel industry. Chris Long, an Ag student with connections, organized the trip. The group started at the Pure Hawaiian Plant Oil farm in North Puna/South Hilo, adjacent to the main UH Hilo farm.
