Pacific Biodiesel Technologies has formed a strategic partnership with JVNW, manufacturer of stainless steel tanks and systems, located in Canby, OR. This partnership allows for seamless integration of design, manufacturing, and installation of biodiesel process systems. JVNW has been manufacturing equipment for the pharmaceutical, beverage and high-tech industries since 1981.
Willie Nelson
Willie and Annie Nelson first learned about biodiesel when Annie bought a diesel car and became a customer of Pacific Biodiesel on Maui in 2003. The Nelsons now drive only biodiesel vehicles, including Willie’s tour bus, and are invested in several biodiesel ventures with PacBio. They are partners in Pacific’s biodiesel plants in Salem, OR and Carl’s Corner, TX and are founding members in the Sustainable Biodiesel Alliance with Bob and Kelly King of Pacific Biodiesel.
Maui EKO Systems
Maui EKO Systems is an original founding partner in Pacific Biodiesel, Inc. As contracted managers for the Central Maui Landfill, EKO runs green waste co-composting operations on Maui and several other sites across the country. It was under Maui EKO that Pacific Biodiesel first subcontracted to process used cooking oil into biodiesel, also convincing owner Tom Pawlish to make an investment in this pioneering company.
Cleanway, Inc.
Founded in the early 2000’s to gather commercial used cooking oil and keep it out of the Oahu landfill, Cleanway, Inc. is now a wholly owned subsidiary of Pacific Biodiesel, Inc.Cleanway’s quality service recycling operation also collects trap grease from restaurants, ensuring that FOG (fats, oils and grease) no longer has to be an environmental hazard for the island of Oahu.
Sequential-Pacific Biodiesel LLC
SeQuential-Pacific Biodiesel LLC was formed in 2004 as a partnership to build the first commercial biodiesel plant in the State of Oregon. With the expertise and technology of Pacific Biodiesel, the distribution experience of Sequential Biofuels and Tyree Oil, the advocacy of the famed Willie Nelson and his wife Annie, and the commitment of Oregon environmental businessmen Cameron Healy and John Miller, the project was bound to be a triumph. Indeed, the success of the biodiesel plant has helped create biodiesel mandates in the City of Portland and the State of Oregon. In 2008, SQPB will complete a brand-new expanded capacity plant with state-of-the-art technology, making it Pac Bio’s most efficient design to date.

The biodiesel plant at Carl’s Corner, Texas is the brainchild of partners Willie and Annie Nelson who became biodiesel fans as customers of Pacific Biodiesel in their other home town of Maui, Hawaii. The truck stop at Carl’s Corner needed a boost and Willie decided that biodiesel was just the ticket. The test run of the renewable fuel was so successful that the biodiesel plant was built right next door and the truck stop renovated to reopen this year as Willie’s Place. A model of community-based sustainability, PB Texas processes used cooking oil and locally grown raw cottonseed oil into the highest quality biodiesel. The partnership that developed the plant includes mostly Texas-based folks, with a few from Hawaii and other states.
